Thought of the Day September 22, 2015

By 11:30 AM

"God's presence in our lives never leaves us tranquil: it always pushes us do something. When God comes, he always calls us out our house. We are visited so that we can visit others; we are encountered so as to encounter others; we receive love in order to give love." (Pope Francis) How true this is. When the disciples wanted Jesus to stay in the comfort of Capernaum, he said he had to go to other towns to preach the Gospel. When Peter wanted to stay on Mount Tabor after experiencing the Transfiguration, Jesus said they had to go down and continue the journey to the cross. When the Apostles experienced Pentecost in the Upper Room, they went into the world proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus. This is our life as disciples. The gift you have been given is to be given to others.
