Live in peace
"Keep your heart in peace and let nothing trouble you, not even your faults. You must humble yourself and amend them peacefully, without being discouraged or cast down, for God's dwelling is in peace." St. Margaret Mary Alocoque
God's presence is in peace not in agitation or discouragement. He is aware of our faults and failures, but he still loves us. It it is because of this love that we are to seek from him the way to overcome our faults, but do so in his grace and in union with him. Anxiety does not lead to that peace in which the presence of God dwells. St. Paul reminds us to dismiss all anxiety for the Lord is near. We are to ask for his grace and the gift of fortitude to address our shortcomings. At the same time we must exercise patience for the process of change may be gradually rather than instantaneous. Take one step at a time to reach the goal.
