Why is it hard for us to entrust everything to God, when everything belongs to him already? What is in us that makes us hold on to our possessions and accomplishments? Is it a lack of trust? Is it a fear of total surrender to the will of God for us? We prefer to heed the internal deception of the father of liars than to, who seeks our eternal destruction, than to place our confidence in the One who seeks our eternal happiness. It takes a leap of faith, an act of hope, a decision of love to say Yes to the Lord and to be all in. We came into the world with nothing and we will take nothing with us at death, except our relationship with God. Knowing this we can trust in his will for us.
