Submitting to God's plan

By 10:15 AM

"My confidence is placed in God who does not need our help for accomplishing his designs. Our single endeavor should be to give ourselves to the work and to be faithful to him, and not to spoil his work by our shortcomings." St. Isaac Joques

Sometimes, we think we have a better plan than God, but in reality our plan always falls short out of our own pride. God doesn't need us to accomplish his plans. He invites to participate in bringing them about.  We need to learn to step out of his way and follow his lead, uniting our wills to his. Jesus, in his humanity, accomplished the work of our redemption by submitting his will to the Father's, even to the death on the cross. His humanity was looking for a way out; his Sonship embraced the will of the Father. That is the example we are called to follow. "Here I am, send me."
