Thought of the Day June 12, 2019 Not to die a saint

By 9:28 AM

Leon Bloi at the end of a successful life as a writer wrote: "at death the saddest thing is not to die a saint." Reflect on this.

The life of a disciple is to grow in holiness, to fall ever deeper in love with the one who loves beyond measure. That call has been expressed in many aye in the New Testament. Jesus to Peter "Do you love me.?

The words of the Spirit to the Church in Ephesus states in
Revelations 2:1: “And to the Angel of the Church of Ephesus write: Thus says the One who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lamp stands:  I know your works, and your hardship and patient endurance, and that you cannot stand those who are evil. And so, you have tested those who declare themselves to be Apostles and are not, and you have found them to be liars. And you have patient endurance for the sake of my name, and you have not fallen away.
But I have this against you: that you have fallen away from your first love.  And so, call to mind the place from which you have fallen, and do penance, and do the first works. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your lamp stand from its place, unless you repent."
