Someone once said that one’s true value is not what I think of myself; not what others think of me; not what I think others think about me. My true worth is known only by God, who sees and knows me in my full potential.  Our primary awareness, unfortunately, is our faults and failures. God’s insight is more like that of Michelangelo. Though he saw the flawed marble slab which others rejected, he also the possibility of a statue within it. Thus we have the famous statue of the boy David. God sees what no one can see, because he sees that with the chisel of grace and the chipping of struggles, we can become a great saint.
