Today is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  The heart is a symbol of love. It is a feast acknowledging the love Jesus has for us and the love we should have in return. A wedding anniversary is a time to renew the love between a couple. On this feast we are called to renew our love for the One who said, "Greater love has no one than to lay down his life for a friend." Love can be taken for granted.  But love that is not stirred up into flame regularly becomes a dying ember that can slowly go out. By responding to love with love we are showing the debt of our gratitude to our one true Lover.
