"The Spirit makes one man a teacher of divine truth, inspires another to prophesy, gives another the power of casting out devils, enables another to interpret holy Scripture. The Spirit strengthens one man’s self-control, shows another how to help the poor, teaches another to fast and lead a life of asceticism, makes another oblivious to the needs of the body, trains another for martyrdom. His action is different in different people, but the Spirit himself is always the same. In each person, Scripture says, the Spirit reveals his presence in a particular way for the common good." St, Cyril of Jerusalem
When we read about the grace of the Holy Spirit in the life of Peter and Paul, we recognize multiple gifts: gifts of discrnment, healing, deliverance, prophecy, exhortation, raising the dead to life. In each, they steped out of their comfot zone, enabling the Spirit to work in and through them. Each of us in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation have been anointed and empowered by the same Spirit to do the same ministry of witnessing. Are we ready to step out of our comfort zone in faith to be instruments of the Spirit? Renew your yes to Jesus as Lord and surrender to the move of the Spirit.

Jesus said that we are to go to the ends of the world, proclaiming the Gospel of Salvation. Our recent Holy Fathers have urged us to use the social media to accomplish this task. This is just one attempt to respond to both calls. Join me in this effort.
