Jesus surrendered to the will of the Father, even when it meant suffering crucifixion for our salvation. Mary embraced the will of God, calling her to virginal motherhood. She said: "Fiat, let it be done according to your word." Jesus on the cross trusted the Father to raise him up. Mary, standing under the  cross, put her trust in the plan of the Father. Jesus was motivated by his intimate love of the Father. Mary loved the Father and Jesus. Do we need any other models to follow in surrendering to the will of God, to trust in the plan of God for us, in loving the One who loves us unconditionally?
