O Wisdom of our God Most High, guiding creation with power and love: come to teach us the path of knowledge!

 As we enter into the final days of preparation for the celebration of the birth of our Savior and Lord, the Church reflects on different titles of the Messiah. He is the Wisdom of God who comes to teach us the wisdom and knowledge of his true identity and of the plan of God for us. The wisdom of God revealed to us by Jesus is that God would bring salvation to the world by himself becoming Man. By taking on our flesh, Jesus embraced the cross as the means of our salvation. Paul tells us that for the Jews this was a stumbling block and for the Greeks foolishness and weakness. In faith, we believe that this was the plan of God that Jesus has fulfilled. We can only come to know this mystery through faith in Jesus Christ. He is the true path to deeper knowledge, which we pray for this Christmas.
