The purpose of our life and our willed destiny by God is to be with him in eternity, sharing in his divine life. If we shoot for less, the alternative is not pleasant. What if we make a decision to choose to do and embrace only what leads to heaven? Would our life be easier? Not really. But it would have a better chance of fulfilling our destiny with God. The choices we make, the path we walk on, the life we live will determine with God's grace the end of our existence. Don't settle for fool's' gold when you can have the priceless treasure.
