Faith is a gift from God that needs to be embraced by us. It is rooted in our acceptance and acknowlegement of God, who has revealed his mysteries to us. After the transubstantiaton of the bread and wine, we proclaim in faith "My Lord and my God." Those without faith see only bread and wine. Those who believed that Jesus was the Messiah saw him in his resurrected body. Those who had no faith rejected the proclamation of these witnesses. Thank God for this gift of faith, which allows us to know the mysteries of divine revelation.
