The reason for this perspective is based on the promise of God. Those who live and die in Christ in this world will not suffer eternal death but enjoy eternal life. Jesus ensured this by his death and resurrection. They do not see death as a finality, but an entrance into fullness of life. They know who they are and whose they belong to and what their destiny is so as to be fulfilled. There are those who do not fear death because they are committed to a cause. And there are those who do not fear death because they ie for a person, who is the beginning of their life.
