This is a central message of Easter that we need to reflect on.  Sin plunged us in the depth of alienation and darkness, hopelessness and despair. Jesus' death and resurrection has lifted us from this abyss into the light of God's love. From wretchedness to blessedness through no merits of our own.  As we meditate on the hopelessness of our former way of life and the beauty of our present way of life in Christ, can we choose to remain in sin in the future? Should we not be eternally grateful for God's mercy that we choose union with him  rather than return to our former darkness?
