St Agustine expressed the same understanding. Realizing a hunger in our hearts, he said: "Our heart is restless until it rests in You, O God."  With his everlasting, unconditional love God draws us to himself. The more we love him in return, the more we open ourselves to his love. Like the person in the Song of Songs, once a person tastes the sweetness of her lover, she goes searching for him no matter the cost. How blessed is the one caught in the web od God's love! Nothing will fully satisfy the person, ecept union with the beloved. So the search for more of him.
