It is the greatest romance, because it is to fall in love with the One person who loves us unconditionally and unselfishly, losing ourselves in that union. Though God is ever present to us, we must be willing to leave our comfort zones to make the journey with its ups and downs, never losing sight of our goal. There will be times of darkness and question, a sense of abandonment and being lost. But we push forward, because we have experienced his love and desire it again. The culmination of our romance and adventure will be our eternal union in love with the Beloved. This is what made men women saints.
