What a sobering thought! What we have received comes ultimately from God as gifts of his love. What we do with his gifts are to reflect our gratitude and good stewardship. Sometimes we fail to remember that all is gift. Sometimes we misuse the gifts God has given us. We are either the good servant who used what was given, not for his good but for the good of the one from whom he received or we are like the servant, who buried his gift, returning it to the giver without fruition. On the day of our judgment, we will have to give an account of our use of the gifts we received. Don't be wanting with nothing to show of lasting value.
