All good things come from God. Any good we accomplish is through the grace of God. Knowing and acknowledging this within our hearts is humility. I have seen people, at least outwardly, say the good accomplished was because of God. But at times I wonder if this is not just a pretense. I believe it is better to thank the person for the compliment and interiorly thank God for the grace.  This is humility. For humility is not as much seen as it is lived. It is a conviction that I am what I am and I can do what I do only by the grace of God.
