One of the lures of the Evil One is that of losing sight of our goal in life. Our daily distractions and activities can sometimes so consume us that we lose sight of the purpose of our existence. To avoid this deviation, we need to remind ourselves of the call of God in our life, namely to be his redeemed, adopted son or daughter, sharing in his life in anticipation of doing so eternally. That means consciously renewing our commitment to the Lord each day. That means being attentive to the grace of the present moment, keeping our heart rooted in the Lord.
