During this Lenten season our journey may follow an up and down cycle. Climbing a mountain is never easy. There are many slips and struggles, many next steps, bringing us closer to the top. One who is determined to reach the goal doesn't stop because of a partial slip. So must we be in our spiritual journey, determined in spite of our failures, to keep going one step at a time. Failures are just opportunities for us to be more open to the grace of God. For only by the grace of God can we turn a slip into a forward advance.
