Throughout the Scriptures, God would remind different individuals, "Fear not, know that I am with you." God says the same comforting words to each of us each day no matter our circumstances.  Jesus reiterated this same message when he said: "If you keep my word, the Father and I will dwell within you." In faith we attest that when we were baptized, we became adopted sons and daughters of the living God. God made his dwelling in us and remains in and with us, as long as we are one with him. And even when we separated ourselves through sin, he remains with us, calling us back to share in his life. Would not our life be different if we consciously lived in the presence of the Lord? Even in times of difficulty, we will know that we are not alone, but can turn to the indwelling presence of  God. This is the internal peace God desires for us, when storms rage all around us.
