How can we find God, who made us in his own image and likeness with our unique identity, if we are not satisfied with ourselves and seek to be other than who we have been called to be?  God knows me to be whom he has created. He doesn't know me as someone else. When we embrace our true identity in Christ, then we will be better able to see the Christ within ourselves. We are who we are by the grace and will of God. With all our faults and failures, he knows us as the one he has created and called to himself by name. Seek to perfect that person, not some fixation of yourself.
