Sometimes, truth is hard to accept, because we don't understand. The ways of the Lord are not our ways. God sees this present moment in my life in the context of eternity. I only see this present moment. St. Paul was aware of this when he wrote< :I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us." (Roms 8:18) God desires our eternal happiness with him. Whatever it takes to accomplish this he wills or permits in our life. Because of this desire we trust in his eternal plan for us. As we surrender to the will of God, we pray for the strength to embrace his will.
