Made in the image and likeness of God, who is Love, we are created to be love and to love. When we don't love, we are not fulfilling our true identity and destiny. To be in right relationship with others, to live in peace and security, we are to live a life of selfless love. When we and others do not, then we have strife, division, insecurity, etc. Sin exists in the world because of non-love. When we die, if we are in love with God and others, then our eternity will be one of perfect love. But if we die not in true love, then our eternity will be one of darkness and emptiness, alienation and anguish. Knowing all this, how should we strive to live?
