What is humility? It is a virtue in which our focus is not ourselves, but the Other. It acknowledges the truth who we are. We are creatures made in the image and likeness of God. Without this relationship with God, we are nothing. When Jesus was tempted in his humanity, he kept his eyes on the Father, he spoke the truth against the lies of the Evil One. While the Evil One distorted the truth, Jesus, in humility, spoke and embraced the truth. While we alone can't compete against Satan on his turf, our strength is in the Christ in us to whom we turn to fight the battle.
