Kindness is a reflection of love. Like love it may not always be understood or received. But it is this kindness that Jesus was referring to when he said we should give even a cup of water to one in need. As God is kind and merciful to us, we are called to be kind and merciful to others. Kindness is a virtue that should come natural to a disciple of Jesus. But to be so, it needs to be practiced regularly, until it is part of our spiritual identity. There are many opportunities given us each day to grow in kindness. Be attentive to them and transformed them from being natural acts to spiritual acts by doing them out of love of God.
