If God created us in joyful love and has made us for eternal joy, how does the attitude of joy play in our daily life style? How joyful are we? Is my joy called to be a witness of the joy of the Lord? So often we let sadness and depression rule over us. Our focus is on the mud of the earth rather than the blue sky above.  Because of our sinful nature, joy doesn't come automatically. It must be practiced. How? By remembering and responding to the great ways that God has loved us, which produces joyful gratitude. With St. Paul, I "rejoice in the Lord, always." This joy allows us to participate even now in the eternal joys that await us.
