What is "pure light", if not heaven? I was made to be in the eternal light of heaven. There I will be "fully a human being." Many fear death! Is it because they are not in relationship with God, the Beginning and End of our existence, the perfection of our humanity? Yearning to be with God is not morbid, but should be the desire of our heart. As long as I am away from the Lord, I remain uncomplete and susceptible to sin. Like St. Paul we should yean to be with the Lord, unless the Lord desires us to stay here, working for him longer. Day by day, we are being drawn into that "pure light"; day by day we are being perfected in love. Our hope is that when our journey ends, we will begin a new life with God eternally.
